Volunteer 45-60 minutes each week and transform a child's life. The Helping Early Literacy with Practice Strategies (HELPS) program is proven to improve children's reading fluency. For a map of participating schools click here.

How to sign up to become a HELPS tutor:
1. Complete the new volunteer registration.
2. Sign-up for a HELPS training (for returning tutors- complete refresher training through Pathwright)
3. Complete a background check through www.cmsvolunteers.com using a state issued driver's license. Be sure you select your HELPS school from the drop-down menu provided at the bottom of the page.
4. You will get an email notification from our system once CMS has verified you are clear at the school you've selected.
5. Schedule yourself at the school of your choice using the calendar for that school.
6. Begin tutoring each week.
